It is a happy place to visit with an interesting history and lots of opportunities to experience wildlife encounters . It was easy to get around in a small hire car . The town had many cafes and restaurants .The museum was fabulous and staff were very helpful

Exmouth is amazing. The surrounding landscape is incredible. The access to Ningaloo Reef is very good. Lots of tour operators to get you onto the reef. But you need a vehicle to get around easily as there are no buses and limited taxis.

We went on a whale shark snorkeling adventure and 2 days on a dive charter. Exmouth really is about Ningaloo reef and its marine mega fauna and other beasties. It was Lovely to come back to piping hot showers, enjoy the evening vibes of the shopping centre where all essentials were available. Laid back and friendly.

Fantastic snorkeling where the desert meets the reef. Definitely hire a car if you can (best from airport). Ningaloo bakery is fantastic and there are 2 IGAS in town with everything you could want (including pre-made salads etc). Food prices are not much dearer than home but fuel is expensive. Note that if you are going to Coral Bay, most of the off-shore coral is dead so you need to go ~1km offshore for snorkeling etc. You can snorkel directly off-shore at Exmouth at Oyster Stacks and Turquoise Bay (~45min drive). Oyster stacks is the pick, but snorkel down the sand beach end, its easier access and more interesting (wear reef shoes). Saw great turtle and reef shark activity there, even a sea snake!.

The apartment , restaurant, level of service and facilities exceeded our expectations the only exception being the swimming pool which was very cold and thus not used by many guests, including ourselves which was a major disappointment.
